that when I cough it sounds like 'liar'

is an allergy to selfishness, but

is, though it doesn't discriminate,
some of us do

A symptom of this virus
is tired arms from all that waving, drowning

A symptom of this virus

is a kind of fever - the slip and slide of time and truth -

So perhaps our stricken leader
did do what he says he did,
did say what he said he said -

so he isn't lying when he blusters
that this is what he insisted on, all along

Certainly, my head aches,
and I don't know what day it is.
